Alex Gruber and Evelin Lanthaler are Italian champions

On Saturday the decision in the doubles was on the agenda. The brothers Patrick and Matthias Lambacher from Villnöß surprisingly won the Italian championship title ahead of the series winners Patrick Pigneter/Florian Clara, while the duo Tobias Mair/Stefan Frei came in third.

The Lambacher brothers are reigning world champions on sports luge and only switched to luge this season. Favorite victories in singles In the single-seater, however, the favorites prevailed on Sunday morning. In the women's category, Evelin Lanthaler (RV Passeier) won, ahead of Greta Pinggera (Laas Raiffeisen) and Alexandra Pfattner (ASV Latzfons). World champion Alex Gruber (ASV Villanders) won the Italian men's championship title ahead of Patrick Pigneter (ASV Völs) and Stefan Federer (ASV Völs).
