Lanthaler hits back

In the decisive second run, Lanthaler was only 0,02 seconds slower than in the first run and celebrated a confident victory in 1.49,94:0,42 minutes, ahead of Greta Pinggera (+0,97) and Tina Unterberger (+XNUMX), the Lavrenteva was able to get off the podium with a strong second run. “It was two very solid runs. I had to give it my all and I’m really happy that I was able to win here,” beamed winner Lanthaler.

Pigneter/Clara win the doubles In the doubles, the only winner is currently Patrick Pigneter (Völs)/Florian Clara (Campill). The South Tyroleans laid the foundation for success in the first run, with a time of 57,48 seconds, the world champions distanced their pursuers Pavel Porshnev/Ivan Lazarev (RUS) and Patrick Lambacher/Matthias Lambacher (both Villnöß) by more than 0,80 seconds. In the second run, Lambacher/Lambacher and Porshnev/Lazarev drove the same time, while Pigneter/Clara achieved another best time. With 1.55,68:1,11 minutes, the local heroes took the day's victory in a superior manner, ahead of Porshnev/Lazarev (+1,14) and Lambacher/Lambacher (+XNUMX).

“It looks easier than it is. We work very hard for success and the competition is constantly breathing down our necks. Even a small mistake could have fatal consequences,” Pigneter analyzed after the race.
