Latzfons looks back on a successful World Cup

“We were extremely challenged. Organizing a World Cup is a truly mammoth task for organizers who do it in their free time and not as a full-time job. The heavy snowfall has made everything much more complicated. But we eliminated every disruptive factor within a very short time,” says Sepp Oberrauch two days after the World Cup. “Incredibly proud” All weekend long we had to clear the snow from the narrow mountain road from Latzfons up to the Lahnwiesen-Bahn. The demanding World Cup course itself had to be cleared of snow again and again by the countless and hard-working piste workers in order to create fair competition conditions for all drivers. After two power outages, the supply was secured with emergency generators.

“What we have achieved makes me incredibly proud. When we South Tyroleans organize something, we want to do it as perfectly as possible. “We won’t let the external circumstances upset us,” says deputy OC boss Helmuth Grunser.

In terms of sport, the South Tyrolean natural track toboggans left their mark on the title fights. All four gold medals went to the local athletes (SportNews reported) .
