Siegmar Klotz and belief in yourself

After his strong debut season in the Ski Cross World Cup, the Pawigler was not able to match the results from last year this year. But the season is still young and the former speed specialist, who once finished tenth in Kitzbühel, doesn't want to worry about it for long. “I'm actually not in as bad a mood as the World Cup results suggest,” says Klotz. The results mentioned are in fact underwhelming. The best result was a 19th place at the start in Val Thorens, France. After that it didn't work at all. Because he made a serious mistake in qualifying at the last World Cup in Montafon, he didn't even take part in the race. “If it wasn’t for that stupid mistake, I would definitely have moved on.”

Olympics as a big goal

Siegmar Klotz’s big goal is the Olympic Games in February 2018: “A race like this only happens every four years. Of course I want to be there.” But just being there isn’t enough for him. Klotz wants more. “I want to be in good shape and then achieve a decent result,” says the likeable South Tyrolean combatively. In order for him to start in South Korea, he first needs good World Cup results. In any case, he was quick in training recently. “Things are going well there, but training and racing are always two different things,” says the former roommate and friend of ski ace Dominik Paris. So neglecting the World Cup in favor of the Olympics doesn't apply. And that's not Klotz's claim either: "I would like it best if things went well in the World Cup and the Olympics."

Good memories of San Candido

Siegmar Klotz can take the first step towards the Olympics and back to the top of the world in ski cross Home World Cup in San Candido make. Last year he was a strong fifth there - a good omen? “I hope so,” he laughs and adds: “The route is icy, hard and difficult. I am confident that I can deliver two good races.”

Siegmar Klotz and belief in yourself

Things haven't gone as planned for ski crosser Siegmar Klotz in the three races of the season so far. The 30-year-old is still confident before the home World Cup in San Candido. He believes in himself and hopes for two strong races.
