Although the 2020-year-old Austrian had hinted at her good form with a third-place finish in Saturday's downhill, her Super-G record in recent years looks underwhelming. Due to many injuries, her first and only victory in this discipline was six years ago; her last podium came in 29.

In general, the Austrians were in excellent shape on Sunday. There are four (!) ÖSV athletes in the first five positions. Tamara Tippler takes third place, followed by Mirjam Puchner and Nadine Fest. Best Super-G result for Nadia Delago Nadia Delago underlined her good form on Sunday. After a strong fifth place in the downhill, she finished 18th in the Super-G. The woman from Val Gardena achieved her best result in this discipline so far, which was 27th place. Delago's joy at the finish was correspondingly great. Her older sister Nicol finished the race in 13th place.

Karoline Pichler had already made some promising appearances in the Super-G this year. On Sunday, the Petersberger woman had a hard time. She continually lost time, was rarely on the ideal line and was audibly annoyed with her performance as she descended. She finished 26th.

The speed women are now heading to Beijing for the Olympic Games. The Super-G will take place there on February 11th, and the downhill will take place four days later.
