Adelboden: Black is disrupting the next giants duel

Henrik Kristoffersen put in a strong run with start number 2, but made a serious mistake in the lower part of the track. Marcel Hirscher (start number 3) was five tenths of a second behind Kristoffersen in the upper part of the route, but at the finish it was just five hundredths of a second. Everything pointed to the next duel between the long-term rivals.

Then comes black Marco Schwarz started the race with number 12. He confirmed his top form in heavy snowfall by being in the lead from top to bottom and not making any mistakes even on the challenging final slope. At the finish he was 34 hundredths of a second ahead of Kristoffersen. It would be the 24-year-old's second World Cup victory after he won the parallel slalom in Oslo at the beginning of the year. Five South Tyroleans took part in the decision The physically weak Manfred Mölgg showed a solid first run with start number 8. The experienced Enneberger is in eleventh place and is therefore the best “Azzurro”.

Simon Maurberger, who came 15th in the giant slalom on Saturday, showed another strong run and is in 19th place (+1,50 seconds). Riccardo Tonetti confirmed his strong slalom form and finished 57nd with start number 22.

The young Wolkensteiner Alex Vinatzer was also “only” 1,66 seconds behind Schwarz at the finish and is currently in 23rd place.
