Trouble over ski talent: “She is destroying her career”

At the World Cup opening in Sölden, Liensberger is not allowed to do so because of one thing supplier dispute not start. Liensberger changed ski brands from long-time partner Rossignol to Kästle in the summer, but the 22-year-old does not have a valid ski boot contract. This caused great anger in the ranks of the ÖSV. Men's boss Andreas Puelacher said in Courier on the ÖSV's efforts to recruit Liensberger: "Not even Marcel Hirscher was as invested as in the last few weeks for her." According to their own information, the association did everything they could in the last few weeks to make the 22-year-old perfect for the season to prepare. So the former Hirscher service man was put at her side and they also found the original skis and original shoes from the previous year for her.

ÖSV sports director Anton Giger emphasizes: “Nobody knows how much money is involved until a runner gets as far as Kathi. If you add everything up, that's 700.000 euros." After all: Liensberger can still sign the planned supplier contract until November 15th. If this deadline also passes, the Austrian will not be able to compete in any races this season.
