At the end of the world: two ski stars in love reunited

The summer training camp is usually always a very special adventure for the ski aces. Getting on the plane with all your belongings and jetting to the other end of the world has its charm. In addition to Ushuaia, which is located at the southern tip of South America, Chile is also a popular destination, more specifically the El Colorado ski resort. It's currently winter there. And that's exactly where two ski professionals in love found each other.

Marie-Michele Gagnon (two-time World Cup winner) is currently working on her form with the Canadian ski team in El Colorado. Just like her fiancé Travis Ganong: The 2015 downhill runner-up world champion completes training kilometers with his US boys in La Parva, just a few minutes away by car. In their free time, the two lovebirds naturally got together and enjoyed the time under the Chilean sun.

“It’s really great to see you here,” wrote Marie-Michele Gagnon on social media and posted a photo of the two of them. “This is one of the few times when our job brings us together,” explains the Canadian. Understandable: The two train in different national teams, and the men's circus always travels to different locations than the women's circus. There isn't much time left together. The soon-to-be married couple will have even more fun enjoying their time together. “I even tried to watch him ski in La Parva while I was skiing in El Colorado,” Gagnon smiles.

By the way, Travis Ganong also used his time in Chile for a special excursion: he had a helicopter take him to a mountain peak and from there he flew down into the valley. Beautiful landscape, great snow and your loved one with you: this is how life can be as a ski ace.
