In the end, Shiffrin is on top again

It's incredible! Thanks to an outstanding second run, the American Mikaela Shiffrin also won the night slalom in Flachau. Half-time leader Bernadette Schild only had second place.

Shiffrin cannot be beaten

After Sweden's Frida Hansdotter had already had an excellent second run, Shiffrin went one better. With the best running time in the second round, the 22-year-old catapulted herself to the lead and was no longer able to be intercepted by Schild. For Shiffrin it was the 41st World Cup victory of her career and the tenth this season. Hansdotter came third.

Costazza with a strong second round The best Azzurra in Flachau was Chiara Costazza. The 33-year-old from Trentino showed a strong second run and moved up to 6th place. Irene Curtoni, however, cannot be satisfied with her second round. Still in sixth place in the first race, Curtoni fell back to 13th place.

Mölgg is out of the second run

For Manuela Mölgg, the night slalom in Flachau was something to forget. The Enneberger woman lost a lot of time in the first run and only narrowly qualified for the second round. But things didn't get any better there. Instead, Mölgg dropped out shortly after the first intermediate time. World Cup debutant Vivien Insam from Val Gardena had already been caught in the first run.
