At the Lauberhorn: Innerhofer and Paris in wait

After the first downhill training on Tuesday took place on a shortened route, the ski stars took to the slopes over the full distance on Wednesday. That means full throttle for two and a half minutes – that’s a very long time for a descent. This is one of the reasons why Wengen is considered one of the most strenuous ski races ever. Dominik Paris already seems to feel comfortable on the Lauberhorn. After his 6th place on Tuesday, he also made it into the top 10 on Wednesday: He settled in 8th position. Christof Innerhofer also showed strong training and ended up in 7th place. Achievements that give hope for a sense of achievement. The two parade skiers from South Tyrol desperately needed that. Florian Schieder from Castelrotto ended up outside the top 30. Hintermann sets the best time However, the best Azzurro in training on Wednesday was someone else, namely Mattia Casse. The 32-year-old from Moncalieri, who was already on the podium in Val Gardena this season, completed the training in 3rd position. He was only beaten by the best in training, Niels Hintermann (Switzerland) and the Norwegian Adrian Smiseth Sejersted. There is another training session in Wengen on Thursday before the Super-G takes place on Friday (12.30 p.m.). On Saturday the ring includes the legendary Lauberhorn run (12.30 p.m.), before the program is rounded off on Sunday with a slalom (10.15 a.m. / 13.15 p.m.). 2.
