Mikaela Shiffrin is an athlete of superlatives. At the age of 26, the American is already one of the most successful athletes the Alpine Ski World Cup has ever seen. With her podiums in the giant slaloms in Courchevel, she continued her impressive career - and drew level with a legend of skiing.

Shiffrin certainly doesn't have to compete with these meaningless records. One compares cabbage with turnips. As we know, times are changing, the races are now much more numerous than before. The conditions are also completely different. Miss Shiffrin is a wonderful skier and woman, that should actually be enough. What more does one want?
