He just needs a few mechanisms on the slopes to regain full confidence in skiing. But we are working to be ready in November. In the coming days, the focus will be on Super-G training. Alexander Prast is also very familiar with this discipline; after all, he came second overall in the Super-G in the last European Cup season and thus secured a permanent starting place in the World Cup: “Thanks to his fixed place, he has an excellent starting position developed to ensure good results in the World Cup too.” Weather conditions not ideal Ghidoni also commented on the training conditions on the glacier: “It was great in the first four days. However, conditions have worsened in recent times. Between Sunday and Monday there was around 40 centimeters of fresh snow. We don’t need that at the moment, but there’s nothing we can do about the weather.”

After the training camp on the Stelvio Pass, the Azzurri want to hold dry training in July at the Olympic Training Center in Formia (Lazio). Training on snow will probably take place again in Amneville, France, at the beginning of August. However, it is not yet clear what will happen next. The Azzurri may set up camp in Switzerland at the end of August.

The Azzurri's speed specialists have been at the Stelvio Pass for over a week to train on snow. Now the downhill skiers' head coach, Alberto Ghidoni, has commented on the condition of the local ski aces - including that of the convalescent Dominik Paris.
