Delago and Nogler Kostner win FIS races in Bardonecchia

It snowed lightly in Bardonecchia today, but all drivers found normal conditions. The FIS races also counted for the Grand Prix classification. Nadia Delago won the downhill in 1:06.80 minutes, 54 hundredths ahead of the Austrian Dajana Dengscherz and 70 hundredths ahead of Francesca Curtolo. As the second best South Tyrolean, Melissa Perathoner took eighth place.

The 18-year-old from St. Christina also finished the first FIS downhill on Monday in eighth place, just ahead of Lisa Pfeifer from Sulden and Karin Frener from Eisacktal.

The super combination then went to Tatiana Nogler Kostner, who raced to the front from 18th place in the downhill with an incredible comeback. The 19-year-old from Val Gardena won a FIS slalom in Chiesa Valmalenco just two weeks ago. Behind Nogler Kostner, Federica Sosio came second and (+0.14) and Sabine Krautgasser from San Candido (+0.46) came third. Fifth place went to Melissa perathoner, while Nadia Delago was eliminated. A SuperG will be held in Bardonecchia on Wednesday.
