The ski calendar: Only one stop outside Europe

Those responsible for the FIS committee paid great attention to the separation of genders and the respective speed and technical competitions in order to best protect the health of the runners. Otherwise there is a strict separation: in Val d'Isere, for example, there are two giant slaloms at the beginning of December, followed by downhill and super-G the following weekend. For the women, the fast disciplines as well as RTL and slalom are separated throughout. In the event of travel restrictions, regulations have been made. If at least seven of the top ten nations are allowed to travel to the respective organizing country at the provisional closing date five weeks before the competition, the race will be counted towards the World Cup. In special cases, the FIS task force should make a decision. This also applies to the remaining World Cups such as ski jumping, cross-country skiing, snowboarding and Nordic combined. Five races in South Tyrol The ski entourage makes three stops in South Tyrol. As usual, the men will complete a Super-G (December 18th) and a downhill run (December 19th) in Val Gardena. A giant slalom (December 20th) and a slalom (December 21st) will be held in Alta Badia this year. A giant slalom (January 26th) at Kronplatz is on the program for the women.
