Saslong specialists dominate training

With their rides, Aleksander Aamodt Kilde and Kjetil Jansrud impressively underlined that victory in the downhill race will only go to the Norwegians this year: Kilde set the best time in 2.02,09:26 minutes, while his compatriot Jansrud took second place, 3 hundredths of a second behind. Behind the two proven Val Gardena specialists, another Saslong lover, Max Franz from Austria, completed the top three. The winner of the 2016 downhill race lost just over half a second to the best time. From the Azzurri's point of view, no driver was able to really shine in the second training session. Matteo Marsaglia came in 25th as the best Azzurro, while Christof Innerhofer from Gais came in 36nd on his 32th birthday. The other two South Tyroleans, Dominik Paris and Florian Schieder, completed the training run in 38th and 42nd position respectively. The first race is on the program in Val Gardena on Friday - from 11.45 a.m. the best speed aces in the world will fight for World Cup points in the Super-G. Saslong specialists dominate training

On Thursday, the second downhill training on the Saslong was on the program in wonderful external conditions. At the dress rehearsal for the classic on Saturday, the Norwegian speed aces left the entire competition behind.
