You can go on the black slope... Spinderluv Mlyn, as the ski resort in the Czech Giant Mountains is called, has shown itself at its best as a World Cup location. Eight years after the last World Cup, a lot of spectators came to the women's races, especially from neighboring Slovakia for the ski cannon Peter Vlhova to marvel at. The 23-year-old thanked her fans by winning the giant slalom.

Ranked 8th with Meta Hrovat the first junior, the Slovenian, won the gold medal in the slalom at the Junior World Championships in Trentino. The “Azzurre” slalom team put on a sad performance at the slalom in Spinderluv Mlyn, with Chiara Costazza and Irene Curtoni finishing behind in positions 21 and 25. A look at the running times reveals the extent of the crisis: 4,5 and 5,3 seconds behind ! Amazingly, both qualified for the slalom final in Andorra. Both “Azzurre” allowed themselves to be overtaken by the young guns without any resistance.

The World Cup season came to an end for most ski racers with the races in Špindlerův Mlýn and Kranjska Gora. All that's missing is the final this week in Andorra. Only the top 25 in each discipline take part in the final.
