You can go on the black slope... For the first time in the still young history of the SportNews -Ski cannon now also comes Superstar Marcel Hirscher to this honor. The Salzburger continued his winning streak on the Gran Risa on Sunday and has been unbeaten on this legendary slope since 2013! Added to this is his slalom victory in 2011. At 29, Hirscher is in top shape and physically fit. After 61 World Cup victories, the best ski racer of today no longer has anything to prove and has become even better as a result. Cheers!

The Slope rescue has a thankless task: if nothing happens, then no one will notice that it even exists. On Saturday, the camel humps on the Saslong in Val Gardena gave spectators an impressive demonstration of how important piste rescue is. After the horror fall of Marc Gisin (Switzerland), the first emergency doctor was on the scene immediately, and the Aiut Alpin Dolomites rescue helicopter was also at the scene of the accident after a minute. Gisin had to be intubated on the runway and was flown to the Bolzano hospital. From there we took the helicopter to the hospital in Lucerne. This perfect organization of the rescue chain saved the athlete's life! A sincere thank you to all the doctors and paramedics who volunteer every weekend, including at amateur sporting events across the country.

Luca De Aliprandini attended the sports high school in Mals and ran the fastest time in the second round of the Gran Risa. The motocross fan from Nonsberg would have had every reason to celebrate and, on the other hand, showed sporting greatness by dedicating the best time to Marc Gisin, who had a serious fall on the downhill run in Val Gardena on Saturday. These are the true values of the sport, rivals on the track but with the utmost respect for each other's performance.

Moved up to the 200 club Werner Heel. The downhill skier from Walten competed in his 200th World Cup race on Saturday and came in 30th and scored a World Cup point. For the 36-year-old, it was probably his last appearance in Val Gardena, where he won the Super-G in 2008. In football and ice hockey there is a home advantage; it is usually easier to win at home. For South Tyrolean skiers, a home race seems to be more of a handicap. There has only been one home win in the downhill race in Val Gardena, Herbert Plank won in 1977. On Saturday, no South Tyrolean was ranked in the top 15 in the downhill, and in the giant slalom on the Gran Risa, Manfred Mölgg was the best South Tyrolean in 21st place. Christof Innerhofer did better, the Gaiser came second in the Super-G on Friday, and the women did even better: in 2003, Denise Karbon won the giant slalom on the Gran Risa, and in 1994, Sabina Panzanini won the very first women's World Cup giant slalom on the Gran Risa. This means that there were only South Tyrolean winners among the women at the Gran Risa.
