The tragic ski heroes have butterflies in their stomachs again

If you look at the recent social media pictures of Lucas Braathen, Atle Lie McGrath and Aleksander Aamodt Kilde, you get the feeling: these three boys have butterflies in their stomachs. Things shouldn't be entirely wrong with the Ski Vikings: Last year they were the tragic heroes in the World Cup, now they're back - and apparently feel better than ever.

On the Stelvio Pass, the three Norwegians trained together again for the first time after their serious injuries. “The first day with my boys since I fell. I couldn't wait for this day. Thanks to everyone who helped me come back,” wrote Lucas Braathen under a photo in which he received a big kiss on the cheek from McGrath. “Why are you resisting my kiss?” McGrath commented jokingly.

It is all too understandable that the three ski stars are extremely happy. Aleksander Aamodt Kilde competed as a defender in the overall World Cup last year, but tore his cruciate ligament in a training fall in January and was unable to defend his title. Braathen and McGrath are also back Braathen achieved its final breakthrough last season and won its first World Cup victory at the start in Sölden. With his uncompromising and wild nature, he quickly became a fan favorite in the ski scene, just like his friend McGrath, who sensationally achieved second place in Alta Badia - his first top result in the World Cup.

However, the pair's rapid rise in the controversial giant slalom in Adelboden was slowed down when they had a serious fall and had to end the season. For many, this made them the tragic heroes of the season. Now Braathen, McGrath and Kilde have recovered from their injuries – and are excited for the new season.
