Whether skiing or snowboarding: Ledecka is happy

As in the past few days, the athletes found excellent conditions in the French Alps with bright sunshine and cold temperatures. Ester Ledecka coped best with it. The all-round talent kept Corinne Suter and Federica Brignone in check and won her second Alpine World Cup race. Curious: Last week the 25-year-old was still at the top of the snowboarders in Cortina. On the technically demanding course, Ledecka set the first benchmark with a flawless run, which the competition had to fight hard against. Corinne Suter was the same: the winner of the first descent lost ground in the upper, steep section, then became steadily faster, but failed to catch the Czech by 3 hundredths of a second. Brignone grits her teeth The other big favorites, Federica Brignone and Sofia Goggia, also couldn't find the right remedy against Ledecka's best time. One day after skipping the descent due to pain in her back and foot, Brignone still fought bravely and finished third behind Ledecka and Suter with her face distorted in pain. A more than satisfactory result given her nasty fall on Friday. Goggia, on the other hand, made too many mistakes - she was denied a place on the podium. The fact that she also received injections for pain before the race puts this result in a different, better light. That's how it stayed with Ledecka's victory, even though the Czech had to tremble again when Marta Bassino rushed through the second intermediate time with the best time. But the 24-year-old couldn't keep up with Ledecka in the lower section, but still came an excellent fourth. The result:
