An app annoys Feller: “I’ll just lose my job”

Numerous ski stars are preparing for the new season. So does Manuel Feller. However, the Austrian - just like his colleagues - has to struggle with problems that his fans don't notice. Meeting the requirements of the World Anti-Doping Agency can sometimes be very complicated. The reason for Feller's anger is a special WADA app. “Simply the best app in the world… but it’s not like there’s a lot at stake… I’ll just lose my job if it doesn’t fit twice,” writes the slalom star on social media. When his fans asked, he explained: “As a member of an A-squad, you are obliged to state where you will be staying and your competitions every day. As a member of a national team, you are obliged to declare your overnight location, competitions, a daily test hour + a training hour twice a week, all three months in advance!” Feller continued: “As a top athlete, I generally find the system to be very good and also very important. But the World Anti-Doping Agency has not been able to provide an app that works anywhere near smoothly for years. So now you know why I need three cell phones a year.” A lifelong ban can be threatened The penalties that threaten show that this issue should not be taken lightly. “If you are not at the location you specified during the test hour or training hour, this counts as a 'missed test'; the same applies if you do not enter your data on time. If you have three missed tests, it counts as a positive doping control. In other words, you will be banned for two years and if you do so again, you will be sentenced to life.” A user then asked Feller a juicy question. He wants to know what an athlete would do in the event of a one-night stand - after all, you have to give the overnight address in advance. “Haha the 1 question. My friends always asked that too. Well, you come home and ask: Hey, where are we exactly now, I mean, what's your address. So, changes are possible at short notice… if you wake up at five in the morning and the app works then.”
