After Hirscher's surprising resignation a year ago, Kristoffersen was able to promptly win the slalom and giant slalom balls last season - 2 crystals that had practically been subscribed to Hirscher in recent years. The Salzburger will probably not make a comeback - to the chagrin of many Austrian ski fans. The winner feels too comfortable in his retirement. Despite everything, Hirscher hasn't lost much in terms of class and ability.
