Erik Fisher celebrates his first European Cup victory in Reinswald

Until Fisher's victory drive, the Swede Hans Olsson had been in the lead for a long time, but in the end he had to settle for second place. The 26th in the World Cup downhill in Garmisch, who has two third places in the downhill in the World Cup, had never been on the podium in a European Cup downhill before. Achtabar also beat Siegmar Klotz. In his comeback after the horror crash in Kitzbühel, the Lananer took 20th place.

Gasper Markic was unable to cope with the shortened race track. The Slovenian set the best time in both training runs, but had to settle for 22nd place in the end. A total of 103 athletes from 17 nations took part this Wednesday.

The Sarn European Cup week continues on Tuesday with the super combination. The descent begins at 9.30:13 a.m., the slalom is scheduled for XNUMX p.m.

It's a real shame that the runway had to be shortened. Despite the shortening, it was quite windy, especially in the upper part of the route. It wasn't easy because the speed was quite higher than in training. A compliment to the organizers for the great event. Will I be at the top of the Super-G on Friday? I hope so.
