First victory in Val Gardena for Erik Guay – two South Tyroleans in the top ten

Erik Guay celebrated his first victory in Val Gardena on Saturday. With a strong finish, he pushed the Norwegian Kjetil Jansrud off the top and secured his first World Cup downhill victory since Garmisch-Partenkrichen in February 2007. Two South Tyroleans, Werner Heel and Peter Fill, also made it into the top ten.
