Favorites register for the first Kitzbühel training session

The fastest on Tuesday was Ryan Cochran-Siegle. The American left top favorite and Wengen winner Aleksander Aamodt Kilde behind by 13 hundredths of a second. But the leader of the overall World Cup, Marco Odermatt (4th), was also among the best in training. Other favorites such as Vincent Kriechmayr (40th), the Swiss Beat Feuz (32nd) or the Frenchman Johan Clarey (45th) have not yet revealed their cards.

The best Azzurro was Mattia Casse in ninth place. Dominik Paris was close behind. The four-time Kitzbühel winner (three successes in the downhill and one in the Super-G) wants to finally return to his top form on the Streif after recently showing fifth place in the Wengen Super-G.

The other South Tyroleans, Florian Schieder and Christof Innerhofer, ended up in 18th and 26th place. The second training run will only continue in Kitzbühel on Thursday. The two departures will take place on Friday and Saturday (at 11.30 a.m. each time). The 83rd Hahnenkamm weekend will conclude on Sunday (10.30 a.m./13.30 p.m.) with a slalom.
