Federica Brignone really shines in the station wagon

Exactly a month ago, Federica Brignone was celebrating at Kronplatz, where she celebrated her third World Cup victory in the giant slalom. Now the gifted all-rounder scored the fourth blow in the combination in Crans-Montana.

After the first round, one strange Super-G , Brignone was in second place, beaten only by Ilka Stuhec. In the second run she showed off her entire technical class and literally drove away from the competition. In the end, her lead over half-time leader Stuhec was one second, while Michaela Kirchgasser came third, 1,16 seconds behind.

Thanks to the victory, Brignone can now hope for a small crystal ball. Before the last combination of the season on Sunday, she is 40 points behind the leader Stuhec.

Nicol Delago, in 30th place after the Super-G, improved by six positions in the slalom and finally scored some World Cup points in 24th place. Hanna Schnarf was in 13th place after the Super-G, but was subsequently disqualified. The FIS cited rule 628.5 as justification, i.e.: “Wrong or untimely start.”

Federica Brignone was unbeatable in the Alpine Combined in Crans-Montana and won her first victory in this discipline. Nicol Delago took 24th place as the best South Tyrolean, Hanna Schnarf was disqualified after the Super-G.
