Feller forgoes Jamaica: “Support our innkeepers”

It is a shame that the ÖSV men no longer achieved first place in the team rankings - also in view of the approaching farewell of President Peter Schröcksnadel. “The goal would of course have been for us to give him this gift,” explained Feller, whose hope that Schröcksnadel would still be in Lenzerheide on Sunday was fulfilled. “Because that’s not how I wanted him to remember me,” he said about his result on Saturday, when he only managed 18th place in the giant slalom. “We’re going to do a little fishing.” Feller about his summer plans Feller is sometimes seen as a “Jack of all trades,” said Schröcksnadel, who always had a good rapport with his fellow North Irishman, “but he can also ski seriously.” The two also share a passion for fishing. Feller emphasized that he is doing well physically at the moment, although he can already feel the giant slalom. Nevertheless, he still wants to take part in the Austrian championships at the end of March, then he will take a break. He will also spend it at home this year. Another trip to Jamaica will have to wait for better, more relaxed times. “We’re going to do a bit of fishing and postpone that until the next few years. I think there is still enough time for it,” said Feller. “If we leave a little money lying around in Austria, it won’t do any harm at the moment.”
