Florian Eisath triumphs in the European Cup

The Eggentaler set the best time in the first round and never relinquished the lead. In the end he won with an impressive lead of 77 hundredths over the second-placed Swiss Sandro Jenal. Eisath celebrated his tenth victory in the European Cup - the first in five years. It was his second success in Kirchberg.

In addition to the World Cup veteran, two other South Tyroleans were involved in the fight for the top positions. However, Simon Maurberger and Alex Hofer each lost four positions in the second race and ended up finishing eighth and twelfth. Alex Zingerle also collected World Cup points in 24th place.

The women completed a European Cup slalom in Zell am See at the same time on Sunday. This was won by the German Marina Wallner. Vivien Insam from Val Gardena took 29th place.
