Ghost World Cup in Val Gardena: Everything is different

The Saslong races are one of the great classics in the Alpine Ski World Cup. When the best skiers in the world ski over the camel humps, the Val Gardena valley is in a state of emergency. But now Corona has pulled the plug on the party.

Even the journey to Val Gardena is different. There is a bit of a traffic jam, but only because 3 concrete trucks are snaking one after the other towards St. Ulrich. It is surprisingly quiet on a road that is normally one of the busiest in the South Tyrolean winter. When they arrived in Val Gardena, S+ asked around about the Ghost World Cup. Opinions vary widely, but grandmas, innkeepers and taxi drivers agree on one thing: everything is different this year!
