Fallen ski ace gets off lightly

The Super-G in Beaver Creek began with a moment of shock on Thursday when Frenchman Mathieu Bailet fell on a steep slope and crashed into the safety fences. Despite the violent impact, the 25-year-old remained unscathed and was able to ski downhill on his own skis. Immediately after Bailet, Dominik Paris also dropped out.
