Magnificent Kvitfjell victory: Paris preserves its chance to score a ball

The penultimate descent of the winter was all about the duel between Beat Feuz and Dominik Paris: Before the race, the Swiss led the discipline rankings with a lead of 100 points over the Ultner. If Feuz had positioned himself in front of Paris in Kvitfjell, the ball would have been impossible to take away from him.

When the Swiss with start number 5 swung away at the finish, a preliminary decision seemed to have already been made: thanks to an outstanding drive, Feuz worked out a lead of over a second over the interim leader Aleksander Aamodt Kilde. It was already clear then: This would be a very tough nut to crack for Paris, who started 2 numbers later.

And in fact the South Tyrolean was often behind Feuz in the interim times, even by 3 tenths of a second shortly before the end. But the Kitzbühel winner mastered the final section with a truly brilliant performance and ended up with a lead of 0,25 seconds.
