Gross only beaten by Matt – Thaler with a sensational comeback

The Alpine Ski World Cup has had a new winning face since Sunday: In the men's slalom in Kranjska Gora (Slovenia), the Austrian Michael Matt prevailed in front of the "Azzurro" Stefano Gross and thus beamed from the highest step of the podium for the first time in his career. Patrick Thaler from Sarner also put in a brilliant performance in the decision.
