Grugger, Albrecht, Klotz: The most brutal falls on the Streif

Instead of writing about the fascination of Kitzbühel and downhill skiing, the 81st Hahnenkamm Races once again showed how thin the line is between spectacle and ugly face when skiing by the world's best.

With Ryan Cochran-Siegle and Urs Kryenbühl there were no riders behind in the first downhill run on Friday, but two athletes who have already made it onto the podium this year. Kitzbühel has thus consolidated its reputation as the most dangerous downhill route in the world; the ranking was expanded by two more victims with the serious falls of Ryan Cochran-Siegle and Urs Kryenbühl. Below is an incomplete overview of the most serious falls in the last 1 years.
