Hannes Zingerle triumphs on the Reiteralm

The 25-year-old from Val Badia won the European Cup final on Thursday ahead of the German Julian Rauchfuss (+0,42 seconds) and the Austrian Daniel Meier (+0,65). For Zingerle it is his second European Cup victory. He won the first one almost exactly two years ago in Kranjska Gora. With this triumph, Zingerle also demonstrated his upward trend. At the end of February he was able to collect World Cup points in Bansko with places 22 and 27. In the European Cup giant slalom rankings, the Gadertaler has now moved up to 5th place.
