Home win: Nadia Fanchini leaves everyone behind in La Thuile

The second women's downhill run from La Thuile (Aosta Valley) ended with a big surprise. The victory went to “Azzurra” Nadia Fanchini, who duped all the big favorites and achieved her first downhill victory. Lindsey Vonn came second, Daniela Merighetti completed the podium in third.
