Men: Four more Ski World Cups in South Tyrol

For the men, the new season begins as usual with the giant slalom in Sölden. In mid-December, the Ski World Cup stops in South Tyrol, with Super-G and downhill in Val Gardena and giant slalom and parallel giant slalom in Alta Badia. This is followed by the night slalom in Madonna di Campiglio and shortly before the turn of the year the downhill and a super-G in Bormio. The last time a Super-G was held in Bormio was at the World Cup final in 2008, when the Austrian Hannes Reichelt won and snatched the small crystal ball from under the nose of the Swiss Didier Cuche in the last race.

The new year begins with the City Event in Oslo on New Year's Day, then it goes to the classics Zagreb, Adelboden, Wengen, Kitzbühel and Schladming. For the first time since 2012, Bansko (Bulgaria) is back on the racing calendar, with an Alpine Combined, a Super-G and a giant slalom at the end of February, immediately after the World Championships in Are. In 2012, Gaiser Christof Innerhofer won the combination in Bansko, just 0,01 seconds ahead of Felix Neureuther.

Another novelty is the World Cup final from March 13th to 17th in Soldeu, the men are racing in Andorra for the first time.

The World Ski Championships in Are (Sweden) runs from February 4th to 17th.

The Congress of the International Ski Federation FIS in Greece has officially announced the Ski World Cup calendar for the coming season. A total of 41 races will be held.
