Marcel Hirscher won the World Cup night slalom in Zagreb on Tuesday evening. The Salzburger set the best time on the Bärenberg in 1.55,96:25 minutes. The 28-year-old took 0,81 seconds off runner-up Felix Neureuther for his 1,04th World Cup win (and third win in a row in Zagreb). Sebastian-Foss Solevaag finished third, XNUMX seconds behind. For the Norwegian it was the first World Cup podium of his career.

Hirscher was already in the lead after the first run and defended his top position in the second run with the fourth-fastest time overall. The intensive training in slalom over the Christmas holidays paid off for the reigning overall World Cup winner.

Manfred Mölgg made a satisfactory comeback after a four and a half month injury break. The 32-year-old from Enneberger took 16th place (+3,21) with two consistent rides. On the way to a top result, Patrick Thaler from Sarner was eliminated in the second round. Riccardo Tonetti had already dropped out in the first round.
