During the first downhill training on Wednesday, Gaiser Christof Innerhofer was unbeatable; on Thursday, the best training time went to Beat Feuz. The 2017 downhill world champion and winner of the downhill ball last winter was an incredible 1,17 seconds faster than Dominik Paris from Ultimo. The winner of the Lake Louise downhill in 2013 also showed a strong performance in training and was ahead of Feuz until the second intermediate time, but then was left behind.

The other South Tyroleans did not make it into the top 15: Peter Fill came in 19th (+2,63), Innerhofer was 26th (+2,98), and Werner Heel finished the training run in 49th position (+3,87, XNUMX)

The final training is scheduled for Friday, before the World Championships season for the downhill skiers begins on Saturday at 20.15:XNUMX p.m. CET. The Super-G follows on Sunday in Lake Louise.
