In Levi everything is ready for the slalom

Although Levi is north of the Arctic Circle, the snow conditions were not always sufficient. In 2007, 2011 and 2015 the slalom had to be canceled due to lack of snow.

In Levi, the women will compete in their first slalom of the season on Saturday, November 17th (10.15:13.15 a.m./18:10.15 p.m.), the men will compete for the first time on Sunday, November 13.15th (XNUMX:XNUMX a.m./XNUMX:XNUMX p.m.), after the weather-related cancellation in Sölden at the end of October.

Over the last five years, the slalom in Finland has always been a highly competitive race with very close time gaps. There have been three different winners in the last four races for both women and men. Manfred Mölgg from Enneberg was third on the podium in 2016. There has never been a victory for the “Azzurri” in Levi.

The snow inspection by the experts from the International Ski Federation FIS in Levi went well. The FIS has given the green light for the slalom weekend on November 17th and 18th.
