In Reinswald everything is prepared for the Women's European Cup

Reinswald hosted European Cup races for women in 2005 and 2006. After that, the men were in action almost continuously in the Sarntal before the organizers celebrated the return of the ski ladies. So it's no wonder that this year's 15th edition has the motto “Back to the roots”. Almost 200 athletes, trainers and supervisors come to the South Tyrolean ski area - some of them with their relatives or fans. There are a total of 3 decisions to be made in Sarntal this week. The women's ski speed week begins on Wednesday, February 19th at 10 a.m. with the first Super-G. A Super-G is also planned for Thursday, February 20th, starting time is again 10 a.m. The traditional ski event concludes with an Alpine combination, which consists of a super-G (10 a.m.) and a slalom (13 p.m.). After each race, the award ceremony takes place in the finish area at the valley station. The three decisions themselves take place on the Schöneben piste. The race track is 2301 meters long and the height difference is 540 meters. Normal ski operations in Reinswald will not be disrupted on the three days of the competition. Nadine Fest is ahead in all speed ratings Nadine Fest is currently leading the Super-G rankings with 300 points. The 21-year-old Austrian is also ahead in the overall European Cup standings with 808 points. Second place in the Super-G ranking goes to the Swede Ida Dannewitz (261), Tessa Worley (France/180) is third. As the best “Azzurra”, Giulia Albano takes 6th place. Alpine combination has only been held once this season. Here too, Fest is in the lead ahead of Dannewitz and Rosina Schneeberger (Austria). “The intensive preparations are entering the home stretch. Our team has worked diligently over the past few weeks to ensure that the racers have perfect competition conditions.
