The organizers of the European Cup “City Event” in St. Vigil in Enneberg/Kronplatz can approach the night city event of the European Cup a little more calmly this year. Snowmaking on the “Cianross” racing slope on the outskirts of St. Vigil has already been secured for more than ten days. On Saturday, December 19th, a men's European Cup race will take place for the 15th time in St. Vigil in Enneberg/Kronplatz.

In contrast to last year, when the race initially had to be postponed by two days, this time the cold came earlier, meaning that enough snow could be generated in a short time to confirm that the parallel night slalom would take place. And, to go one better, the technicians from the St. Vigil lift company led by Danny Kastlunger have already managed the Erta racing slope.

“It will be a great event again and I would like to thank everyone who has once again worked hard to make it a success,” says OC boss Willi Kastlunger, who doesn’t have to worry about his race this year.

The qualifying slalom takes place in the morning, with just one run starting at 10 a.m. This will result in the 32 best men, who will then begin the eliminations for the parallel night slalom later in the afternoon on the Cianross slope. The race will be broadcast live by Rai Sport from XNUMX p.m.

At last year's edition of the parallel slalom in St. Vigil, victory went to the Norwegian Truls Johansen, who defeated the American AJ Ginnis in the final.
