Innerhofer in a quandary: No Wengen start

Background: Innerhofer is currently still injured and is ranked 10th on the World Cup start list. So he would almost certainly complete the downhill run on Saturday with number 1. Since it is supposed to snow on Saturday night, Innerhofer would be the snow plow, so to speak, and in his opinion he would have no real chance. If he had a bad result, he would fall far back on the downhill start list. That's why he leaves it alone.

Innerhofer tore his cruciate ligament in March 2019 and has been working towards his comeback ever since. He will make his next attempt in Kitzbühel. “I definitely want to do the Super-G in Kitzbühel next Friday,” he said in the Tagblatt Dolomites cited.
