Innerhofer and Fill see light at the end of the tunnel

Christoph Innerhofer tore the cruciate ligament in his left knee on March 22, 2019 at the Super-G Italian Championships in Cortina. Since then, Gaiser's motto has been: development training, development training and more development training. “Since April, the rehab program has always been full, there was hardly any time for anything else. My friend Max Blardone’s wedding on Lake Maggiore was a welcome change,” Innerhofer told the Tagblatt Dolomites . The Pusterer has ambitious goals: “I want to be back on skis at the end of August, after which I’m clearly aiming for the World Cup races in Lake Louise on November 30th and December 1st.”

Peter Fill Last winter, however, he suffered a muscle injury in his thigh and a bruise in his back, meaning he had to end his season in January. “Now the injury has healed really well. So far I've been on skis for three weeks, most recently I've been skiing in the gates, mainly giant slalom, it's going very well," he explains Dolomites .

But the man from Castelrotto still feels his 37 years. “When I get up in the morning, it hurts almost everywhere, I have to warm up longer until I'm ready again.” Nevertheless, Fill would like to continue until the 2021 home World Cup in Cortina. "That is the plan. But if I have to deal with injuries again, I'll ask myself whether it makes sense to continue riding. But I don’t think that far ahead now,” says Fill.
