The Swiss veteran Didier Cuche achieved the fastest time, closely followed by Christof Innerhofer, who was able to once again demonstrate his good form, 35 hundredths behind the fastest in training. At the same time, the 26-year-old Gaiser underlined the forecast of the experts, who consider him to be one of the hot contenders for the podium at the Hahnenkamm Races. The Austrian Georg Streitberger delivered the third fastest time.

The remaining seven South Tyrolean starters, Peter Fill and Werner Heel (both 21st at the same time), Stefan Thanei (26th), Dominik Paris (32nd), Siegmar Klotz (39th), Patrick Staudacher (50th), and Hagen Patscheider ( 58.) was denied a sense of achievement before tomorrow's Super-G in Kitzbühel.
