Innerhofer's damn season: “Stop? No, I'm fighting"

“While some people focus on the negative, I always see the positive”: With these words, Christof Innerhofer introduces an emotional message on social media in which he looks back on the past season. It was a winter that wasn't easy for the 38-year-old veteran. Although he was always one of the best in training, Gaiser had a terrible time in the race. 10th place in the Super-G in Cortina d'Ampezzo was his best result; in the downhill he didn't get past 17th place. He was therefore not allowed to compete in the premier discipline at the World Championships in Courchevel.

“The fact is that I didn't find the right setup for a long time this season. The tough conditions in the race made it even more difficult to deliver top performances,” writes Innerhofer. “I did a good job in training and achieved good part-time times in the races.
