Italian Youth Championship: Gold for Karoline Pichler

Karoline Pichler won the gold medal in the Super-G. The hopeful talent from Petersberg put the Lombard local heroes Federica Sosio (+49 hundredths) and Ida Giardini (+85 hundredths) in their place. These three athletes were already on the winner's podium in the downhill, but in reverse order back then.

The victory in the Super-G, which is open to all age groups, went to Anna Hofer from Ahrntal.

In the men's race, however, Michael Eisath came in second. The medals from the Italian Junior Championships went to Stefano Buffaldi, Henri Battilani and Federico Piani.

The last ski race of the Italian Youth Championships took place on Saturday in Santa Caterina Valfurva (Province of Sondrio). And this was extremely successful for South Tyrol's athletes.
