“Not a good feeling”: The voices from Bormio

Vincent Kriechmayr bagged his 14th World Cup victory in Bormio, the second for himself and the ÖSV this Ski World Cup winter. The Upper Austrian sat down on Wednesday in the descent on the strenuous Stelvio piste ahead of the Canadian James Crawford (+0,40) and the Norwegian Aleksander Aamodt Kilde (+0,68). This means that Kriechmayr and Aamodt have divided the five runs between them this season until the turn of the year.

For Kriechmayr, who had held back in training as usual, it was his fourth podium finish in Bormio. He had already been second in both downhill and super-G. “This is the gentlest downhill run of the year, of course you want to win it as a downhill skier,” he said ORF -Interview. “It was definitely my best ride down there so far. I also gave a little milk at the bottom, but I wasn't among the fastest. But all in all it was a pretty decent trip.”

Compared to training, I was a different person in the race. I need to get some results to boost my confidence. Tomorrow conditions will be even more difficult.
