No top ten result for the South Tyroleans in the European Cup

The German Christina Geiger secured the slalom victory ahead of the two Swedes Frida Hansdotter and Emelie Wikström. As the fastest of the Italian team, Chiara Costazza finished seventh. Sarah Pardeller made it into the final ranking as 27th and therefore the only South Tyrolean. Sara Pramstaller and Nicole Gius were eliminated in the first and second runs respectively, while 19-year-old Janina Schenk missed qualifying for the second run.

The picture is similar for men: in the giant slalom in Switzerland, the local athletes were unable to make it into the top 15. Florian Eisath took 17th place, immediately ahead of his teammate Michael Gufler. Hagen Patscheider, however, was ranked 26th. Young driver Alex Zingerle unfortunately had to retire from the second race and had to bury his hopes of European Cup points. Meanwhile, victory went to the Frenchman Alex Pinturault, who crossed the finish line just under a second ahead of his compatriot Cyprien Richard and Justin Murisier from Switzerland.
