Kostelic prevents Austria's triple victory in Adelboden - Azzurri disappointing

The Croatian slalom star's best time was 1.50,90:0,26 minutes. Kostelic thus prevented the strong Austrian slalom team from achieving a triple success. Marcel Hirscher came second (+1,29 seconds), Reinfried Herbst came third (+1,55) and North Tyrolean Mario Matt (+13) came fourth. It was Kostelic's XNUMXth World Cup victory, the first in Adelboden.

The slalom on the legendary “Chuenisbärgli” was disappointing for the Italian team. With Stefano Gross, only one slalom skier was able to place himself in the top 28, finishing 30th. The top runners Manfred Mölgg, Giuliano Razzoli and Christian Deville were already eliminated in the first run. Patrick Thaler was unable to qualify for the second run in 46th place, nor was Christof Innerhofer, who dropped out in the first run.
