Noise in the Norwegian ski team

“There hasn't been a time with so many conflicts for a very long time,” analyzes the Norwegian TV broadcaster NRK in an article and aptly describes the situation in the Norwegian team. The ski “moose” are currently on fire on several fronts.

The most recent chapter so far concerns the Norwegian medical staff and the men's head coach Christian Mitter. The Austrian is attacked by the medical department because his tone is said to be (too) rough. The doctors even wrote a letter of complaint and threatened to resign. Mitter himself commented on the TV channel NRK as follows: “I know that there has been a complaint against my leadership style and my forms of communication. I take this feedback seriously.”

Kristoffersen focal point The second focal point is Henrik Kristoffersen. The giant slalom world champion is still in dispute with the Norwegian association. The reason for this is the head sponsor: Kristoffersen wants to have Red Bull on his helmet, but the association doesn't allow that and relies on proven sponsors. Just a few days ago both parties faced each other in court, a continuation will follow.

Norway's technical coach Stefan Kornberger resigned from his position during the season. The reason is said to have been the difficult relationship with Henrik Kristoffersen.

A Norwegian legend has now intervened as an arbitrator. Kjetil Andre Aamodt says: “We cannot carelessly jeopardize our reputation as an alpine nation.”
