In the older category, Christoph Atz from Kaltern managed an almost flawless first run, which is why he was crowned U-21 national champion and relegated Alexander Prast and Michael Hofer to second and third place. Prast took immediate revenge and took victory in the second race, even though the best times in both races were achieved by Filip Platter, son of Sweden head coach Heinzpeter Platter. But since Platter is registered for the Swedish Ski Association, his two gala rides were nothing more than profitless art and were not counted.

In the U-18 category, Alex Vinatzer once again showed his great talent: The native of Val Gardena took victory in both races, and in his second run he also had the same time as U-21 winner Alexander Prast.

In the women's category, Melissa Perathoner from Val Gardena celebrated a double victory in the U21 category, but Ramona Hofer from Passeier became the national champion, as Perathoner drives for the police sports group, which is based in Moena and therefore, like Platter, competed out of competition. In the U18 category, Julia Silgoner from Rodeneck was unbeatable twice; in her second appearance she was even the fastest runner in the field with a time of 58,42 seconds. State champion freestyle at Watles

Last weekend, the Watles ski area hosted two Marlene Cup Super-G races. The first run also served to determine the national champions in the U-21 and U-18 categories.
